a Costume Workshop, Catwalk Performance & Exhibition Project

Özgür Erkök Moroder and teenagers from Jugendzone 16

​

On a performative catwalk underlined with music by Özgür Erkök Moroder teenagers will present fictional costumes made out of recycling material – a parody on gender and identity roles. Live music by Sesperisi.

​

The costumes are creations that were made in a 3-day-long workshop and the rehearsals in the local youth center Jugendzone 16 with the youngsters between 9-15 years old. The costumes are exhibited at the Museum, Gomperzgasse 1-3.

Catwalk mit Jugendlichen aus der Jugendzone 16 unter musikalischer Begleitung von Ozgür Erkök Moroder

Ein Projekt von: Ozgür Erkök Moroder, Künstler und Performer in Berlin

​

In einem dreitägigen Workshop werden aus Recycling-Material fiktionale, Identität und Gender verwirrende und parodierende Kostüme produziert. Der Workshop beginnt mit einer Präsentation von Künstlern und Designern wie Klaus Nomi, Leigh Bowery, Divine und David Bowie. Es werden auch Kostümdesigns von Kollektiven und Projekten aus Istanbul präsentiert: Atil Kunst, Ha Za Vu Zu und Sesperisi. Die Präsentationen werden diskutiert.

Nach 2 Tagen Workshop werden die fertigen Kostüme im Rahmen eines performativen Catwalks im Kongreßpark vorgeführt.

Die Kostüme werden von 17.- 31.Mai im Museum, Gomperzgasse 1-3 ausgestellt.
