By Özgür Erkök Moroder & Steffi Weismann
Live Art Denmark / SORT/HVID Theatre, Cophenagen , 14-15.10.2023
Touch Amplifiers is going on with the 4th edition.
Sanding paper suits that are connected to a voice processer through contact microphones, amplifying and distorting movements of touch.
a sound and movement performance we are developing since 2017. dealing with “touch” in psychophysical context,
investigating the gap/relationship between action and meaning. a fragment from a dystopian everyday mythology.
brutal fragility.
a distorted wellness session.
circle of falling apart throughout a techno beat.
Two pre-futurist bodies perform the reinvention of ›the touch‹. They are coming from the beginning of geometry, just before the age of meaning. Their task is reconditioning everyday tactile actions. They are happening in the gap between sound and image.

DEU

Stage Design – Costumes – Painting
Book release, archive presentation and performance
Rupprecht was one of the most imaginative and versatile stage and costume designers of German classic and new music theatre. This Theater der Zeit publication pays tribute to the extensive stage work of the late artist. It clearly illustrates how richly varied his art is, how it breaks with conventional viewing habits and sets strong accents.
With Werner Heegewaldt, Peter W. Marx, Christoph Tannert, Achim Freyer (intro/eulogy), Steffi Weismann and Özgür Erkök Moroder (performance).
Touch Amplifiers #1 (premiere)
Two pre-futurist bodies disintegrate the elements of touch.
They are coming from the beginning of geometry, just before the age of meaning.
Their task is re-conditioning everyday tactile actions.
Two of a kind, simply geometric suits made of sanding paper are connected to voice processer through contact microphones. The suits function as touch amplifiers. The memories, images that triggered by sounds differ from the image we see. Sound and image are no more revelant. Thus the focus is changing place from the "meaning" to the "affect of the moment".
